Getting your curtains custom made has a lot of advantages. One of them is that you can simply design your own and have something truly unique! If you are a fan of plain fabrics but don't want to be boring, then banding your curtains with a splash of colour will breathe life into your room. Using the same fabric on the band as on the cushion can bring your scheme together. If it is a stripy fabric then you can have fun by turning it sideways as stripes will hide a joining. For more luxurious drapes mix textures like jacquard and silk. Don't forget children's bedrooms because there you can experiment and have fun! Children won't mind you being more playful and less serious :)
