Ideas Book for Cushion Design (London)

It's been a week since our trip to London but we're still buzzing with excitement! Going to design shows like Decorex and Focus gives us 'food' for weeks if not months. It's great because we get to meet other designers, see new products, participate in a creative process. Both shows were full of ideas and we'd like to share some of them with you. For this post we decided to look at all aspects of cushions... like fabrics, details, colours and display.

If you are using wallpaper in the room then pick up its colour or pattern on the cushions. It will create a coherent look.

Again piping... Isn't just beautiful how piping frames the cushion and also 'pulls' the background colour to the front?

Not all of the cushions need to be piped. Here we like use of the same fabric as sofa, a contrasting colour with the same colour piping as sofa and an introduction of a geometric design that at the first glance looks alien but really adds interest.

This is a really funky and creative display of cushions! You don't need to have a matching set of cushions. Just have fun and make it look as if you had no time to make your bed properly. It's a beautiful mess
